My Final selection of Images where extremely hard to choose as I wasn’t too sure what fitted in together and which worked well as a group. The images which are grouped together are not in a specific order, they’re just collated together for photographic purpose. My series of Images will be collated together as a group of 6. As I personally think 6 is a great way to show off a story, Not to many or not to less.
First selection of Images
My first 6 Images I’ve tried to portray the family in a natural light and a natural feel. By not letting them look at the camera and by taking the shoot when they’re not expecting it, which I personally thought worked extremely well. However I think my top first Image looked quit odd with the other 5 I’d chosen. More because of the lighting and the contrast it brings. All of the other 5 had the same lighting from either the window or from outside which is natural lighting. Which therefore made the first Image look darker and not fit in with the others as much as I wanted.
Second Selection of Images
My next series of Images I’ve collated together as a group are more positive personally. I’ve only changed the one Image as I think this portrait shot works much better with the lighting in the room. As it’s the same natural lighting coming from the window as the other 5 shots. The only down side to this, is that this is the only portrait shot with ‘Jasmin’ on her own. I’m slightly doubting if it doesn’t fit with the other 5, because she is just on her own and i don’t have any other portrait shots of anyone else.
Third selection of Images
My third selection of Images just portray two portraits of the kids. I obviously will be placing these with the other 5 images. I wanted to see what it would look like if I had another portrait shot of ‘Jensen’ with the portrait shot of ‘Jasmin’ so it didn’t look so odd. I thought maybe it would work together and fit. But now i’m unsure as it means I will have 7 Images for my final pieces. Which I personally don’t think is right as it wont be evened out. Also the shot of ‘Jensen’ doesn’t really show much narrative within the shot as much as the portrait shot of ‘Jasmin’ Which shows much more of a natural pose.
